YAY!!!...New Twilight trailer!
(Remember to pause the music below before you play the video.)
I am pretty disappointed in the casting for Jacob Black (my fav character)....I was thinking more along the lines of Rob Trujillo/Metallica. But NO, it's Taylor Lautner from Shark Boy and Lava Girl!!! WTHeck? I suppose now that he's been regularly visiting the tanning salons and they got him a long-haired wig, he COULD pass off as part Native American, but certainly not Jacob Black! He's too "Ryan Seacrest" to be a kid from the rez, much less a kid from the rez who builds his own car, fixes up motorcycles and transforms into a werewolf to fight vampires and protect his people. Maybe his performance in Twilight will change my mind.

Aunty Linda - 09.29.2008
Aunty Linda is going back to Bacolod (to stay) at the end of this month. =(
Before she left the US she wanted one last Hoorah! at Disneyland. It was fun. We'll miss you Aunty Linda and hopefully someday soon we'll come and visit YOU. Who is the younger sister again? Mom or Aunty Linda?...hmmm, no one ever answered that question. Hahahaha!

My Latest Obsession (besides this Blog)
So this summer Asia got hooked on the Twilight book/series. Then we found out that the movie will be released in November 2008 AND that there will likely be a midnight showing (11.21.2008). Asia made me promise to take her. So I figured if I'm going to stay up for almost 24 hours to watch this movie, I might as well read ONE of the books from the series. One was enough. Now I was hooked. I read the first 3 books in 5 days. It's an easy read and VERY compelling. This is how insane it is: we're wearing Twilight shirts for the midnight showing. Asia's shirt: TEAM EDWARD. My shirt: TEAM JACOB. There is a small part of me that feels just a twinge of shame...as if I've now crossed over into that group that dressed up like Captain Jack Sparrow for the Pirates movie or the hoards of girls that went to the midnight showing of Sex in the City in 3-inch heels and cocktail dresses. I snickered at them while I sipped my Starbucks and enjoyed the warmth and comfort of my sweat pants. Now I join their ranks and I'm dragging my poor innocent daughter with me. It was her idea...but I should be the parent and say no considering the feelings I've expressed in this blog. I'm weak (and obsessed). Oh the shame.
